WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
Alcohol Detox:
Health & Substance Misuse Risk Assessment. Liaise with GP for medications or prescribed by Independent Nurse Prescriber. Detox usually takes around 5-7 days. Daily visits from Specialist Nurse and offering daily vitamin injections. I also offer free Auricular Acupuncture

Opiate Detox:
Health & Substance Misuse Risk Assessment. Liaise with your GP to prescribe medications or I may be able to prescribed. Choice and length of detox dependent on Assessment and Care Plan. We would need to assess your overall heath, what you have been using, how much, what method and for how long a time period.. Daily visits from Specialist Nurse for agreed period (dependent on length of detox). Supportive medications and Auricular Acupuncture offered (no extra cost).
Other Substances:
Following a Health & Substance Misuse History & Risk Assessment, We would consider a variety of treatment to achieve your goal, Some detox may involve medications and others not. However, all clients are encouraged to seek support to maintain stability once they are detoxed. The issues which may have affected your continuous substance misuse, are still there and you will need time and support to deal with your new life.
The final decision to offer detox will depend on a full assessment to ensure client safety and appropriateness.
