THE PROCESS:

Following initial contact, a home visit will be arranged for a more in-depth assessment. Detox can be a difficult and dangerous time. For this reason, I need to ensure we are the right service for clients and they are happy with what we have to offer. Unfortunately, some similar services offer different programs which I would not feel comfortable to offer. I offer a safe, respectful and dependable service which I would wish for myself or any loved one, should it be necessary.

 

The  assessment will look at needs and suitability for home detox. If possible, we would like a copy of a recent blood test to check Liver and Kidney Functions. We will discuss involvement with your GP who may be willing to prescribe. With your permission, I can liaise with your GP. If not, I can prescribe detox medications. For a variety of reasons, some clients do not wish their GP to be involved and  whilst this is not ideal, we will respect this. However, it is important that you have a Responsible Person with you during your detox. This person should be around to support you during this period.

If all is well, we can set a date for the detox to commence. Alcohol detoxes will have daily visits and have physical assessments and support. I also offer auricular acupuncture (free) to help through this process. All clients will be alcohol breath testing, urine tests and urine drug screen tests. With the exception of the first day, any alcohol reading thereafter will stop the detox as it would be a safety risk to continue. Our prime goal is to ensure you are safe and comfortable.

COSTS:  

ALCOHOL DETOX:  Starts from £1,500 (+ fee if your health requires a doctors involvement). Detox usually lasts between 5-7 days duration and involves daily visits to supervise and monitor your detox. You must have a Responsible Person with you to support you during this period.

OPIATE DETOX: Starts from £1,500 for 7 days.. Then £700 per week (or part of a week) thereafter. 

​

OTHER SUBSTANCES: This will dependent on what substance of misuse, amount used and length of time taken. £1,500 for up to 2 weeks then £700 per week thereafter.

The final decision on offer of detox must remain with the Specialist Nurse for health and safety reasons. I must be assured I can offer you the best and most appropriate service which keeps you safe and comfortable.

PLEASE NOTE: There maybe a mileage charge for clients outside the Birmingham "B" postcode areas. Please ask for details.

 

Payment must be made before detox commences. Once detox program starts, there will be NO REFUNDS. There is no charge for  assessment  if the detox proceeds. However, there will be a charge if clients cancel once assessment and planned agreement to start. This would be to cover our time, expenses and prevention of our availability to offer service to other clients.

Detoxing from substances is only part of your journey of Recovery. We highly recommend you use all supports available to help you maintain your goal - a therapist, support groups, AA, NA etc

 

Contract of employment is between client and Maureen Clancy Ltd who may use the support of other highly experienced nurses on a consultancy bases.
